NOTICE: If you did not renew for 2026 by the membership expiration date of 12/31/2025, your membership has moved to lapsed. You can only login by entering the membership form to renew.

To Join: Just click on the Join Now button and choose the membership type that is right for you in the membership application.

To Renew: Membership can only be renewed after the renewal period starts on or about October 1. Membership year is from January 1 – December 31.

Lapsed Members: Any member that did not renew during the renewal period last year is lapsed. Click here to enter the membership application.

Please Note: $10 from each member fee goes towards the licensure fund.
  • Professional Member ($160.00 annually) – Full membership for practicing professionals of geology or related field in engineering and science.

  • Student Member/International Student Member ($0) – Free membership reserved for full time students. This membership must be approved, so please allow time for processing.

  • Early Career Member ($80.00 annually) – Recently graduated student members that would like to continue as a full member. Early Career member rates are available to previous student members for their first three consecutive years as a professional.

  • Affiliate Member ($110 annually) – This member type is available to any person who does not meet the educational requirements for Professional Member but who is interested in furthering the business purpose of the Association.

  • Educator Member ($40.00 annually) – Are you a K-12 teacher or a professor of geology?  AEG offers educators a reduced member rate in support of the noble work you do for our profession.

  • International Member ($25.00 USD) – Non US citizens or individuals that live or work outside the USA, which meet the full member criteria. This membership must be approved, so please allow time for processing.

  • Retired and interested in membership? To qualify for Emeritus and Senior Emeritus membership, you must be fully retired, 62 years of age, and have been a member of AEG. Choose that option in the membership application, and Headquarters will contact you to confirm before approving this membership type.

For more information on AEG's membership categories, click here. Note "Full Members" is defined by AEG Bylaws to include Regular Full Members (Professional), Honorary Members, Life Members, International Members, Emeritus Members, and Senior Emeritus Members.

In addition to our membership fee, AEG’s Chapters individually collect a nominal annual fee to help supplement their local activities. Citizens of the United States must be affiliated with at least one Chapter along with their membership. A list of each of the Chapters’ fees is provided here: AEG Chapter Fees.
