Upcoming EventsStudent Night: February 21st In a departure from the normal routine, the February AEG meeting will be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month due to scheduling conflicts. We are anticipating participation from the University of Utah and Utah Valley University. In addition, we have contacted both Brigham Young and Weber State for potential Student speakers. A list of speakers and topics will be included in the February newsletter. We strongly encourage our members to support our student speakers and next generation of geoscience professionals.
Student Chapter NewsThe University of Utah AEG Student Chapter is an active participant in the Utah Section and have several lectures and a field trip, planned for this year (see below). Students from other universities are welcome to attend. The Student Chapter is also looking for additional lecturers and field trip leaders. If interested in attending or leading a lecture or field trip, please contact Anna. Additionally, the University of Utah AEG Students will provide presentations and participate in “Student Night,” next month. Our Utah Section is a contributor to the Student Chapter and we encourage all our members to interact and get to know the Students. The experiences we have and can share will contribute greatly to the students understanding of our industry in the “real world.” 1) Wed.
